Austin / San Antonio

Austin, Texas from South Congress ave. Rich and I took an
extended weekend trip to the Lonestar state! After some delay getting out
of Newark (pictures and storms), we touched down! If ever in the area tune
into these radio stations: 96.1 MIX San Antonio "singles in San Antonio"
&
96.7 Kiss, Austin radio.

Day 1, we drove 85 miles due South on I 35 to check out the Alamo in San Antonio! Built right into the heart of the city, The Alamo is a historic landmark I've been waiting to see for quite some time.

We visited the Tower of America in San Antonio. Here's a great shot of the city from 750 feet.

San Antonio was a much better city than I expected. At night we took the famous Riverwalk boat along the riverfront. Very classy shops and restaruants.

The Texas captial in Austin! So beautiful as it's modeled around the capital building in DC!

We got seats for the Texas vs Sam Houston State game. Total blowout 66 - 3, but Rich and I moved our seats up the front row and got to see not only the game (all those cannons), but some hot cheerleaders and cowgirls! :)

The coolest stop in Austin. The Alamo Drafthouse plays old movies adlibbed by some comedians who also pause the movie and do a parady of the movie you're watching. We saw Sinus Terminator (1984) and they did a great job! The best part, they serve dinner, drinks, whatever as you're watching! A ++.

6th street. This is where the fun is in Austin. 10 blocks of clubs, bars - it reminded me of Bourbon street in New Orleans.
Robin Williams and RV, MI3, JD at UT, the Coop, the bats, Old Pecan art festival, hot gal in the airport, "hook 'um horns", ATX,
