Charlotte - Part Two

Rich, Sandra and I were back at it again - this time in Charlotte, North Carolina for S's birthday party! Above is a pic as I darted through the clouds on our decent into CLT - experiencing some of the roughest turbulence EVER!

No NASCAR race our weekend, no problem. Bingo Dingo, Airdog, and Pink Bunny turned it into high gear at Victory Lanes Indoor Karting Center. So for anyone who hasn't gone Go-karting before, give it a shot! You can simulate driving at 40mph on such sharp turns. Best Laps: Airdog 34.45, Bingo Dingo 36.67, Pink Bunny 36.94. This after a day of swimming in the pool. How much fun was it to chicken fight / "long jump" with the local kids?!

I've always believed that the best way to learn golf is through "hands on" training! So here I have Sandra in a semi-bear hug maneuver giving her the correct feel of a golf swing!

DJ Scottie-2-Hottie was loose this evening pumping the entire neighborhood (we added a set of speakers) with the latest and greatest from the world of music! While I wasn't lining up songs, I was engaged in some Texas Holdem & Omaha games. And now all the German's now about Rolling Rock beer. Come on, I had a partial PA upbringing ;) Also, since Charlotte is on the border with South Carolina we took a spin there to purchase the alchy as it's much cheaper. But you must beware as it's illegal to transport beer across state lines. So cops actually patrol parking lots to see if you take the express lane to NC!

HELLO! I've never met someone who can pull off so many facial expressions as our dear Sandra. Can you not think of Lorean Bobbit here? Needless to say, I had trouble sleeping that night...

Next lesson: The grip / backswing

"Am I doing this right?"

"Watch this!"

Looking good! Remember to "cut the grass" with each swing. Sandra you did an excellent job in a short time. You passed my beginners class!

Rich, like Sandra, preferred the Drivers over the Irons/wedges. Rich, also good job, but we'll try this a few more times before I hand out my certificate! hehe

A few people at Sandra's birthday party. Again amazing job packing the refrigerator prior to the party!

HAHA just looking at this pic brings me back.... Who's got the pretzel sticks? hehe LATE LATE, Rich and I go outside by Sandra's pond to feed a few of these critters. Before we knew it, around 60 geese flock around us. The funny part happened as we poured the remaining salt on the backs on some geese. The nearby ones would start eating from his back! haha. Then this 1 duck starting eating off his own back!!!
