Long Island

Last weekend I met up with Jen, Neil, Erin, Nicole, Bill, and Becky in Long Island! Specifically Fire Island ( 4 miles south of Patchogue, NY). A great Bucknellian type weekend ("Special" Charades [can you say Ubiquitos or seductive??], Taboo, Rummy, and that unforgettable dip in the ocean! ;) )

I figure I'd tease you with some breath-taking sunsets we saw from the docks.

When we were relaxing by the Ocean or building a sand castle, we ventured out to try our hand at clamming! Basically you just walk out to a depth of 4 to 5 feet and start pressing your feets against the ground searching for shells. (Or you can use the rake if you're cool!). After an hour Neil said we set a record for most clams "captured". 124 clams to be exact! It was fun cooking / eating them, and MORE fun having target practice with their shells!

Awwwwww. Isn't she cute! Jen and I enjoying the patio.
